Introduction
At MTA, we were giving training on problem solving. Specifically, problems having to do with production at a manufacturing plant. The training we received focused on a step by step formula on how to solve these types of problems.
Analysis
After two days of problem solving training, several other MTA students and I were sent to a company and given a problem to solve. On arrival, we were given a tour of the company and thoroughly explained to about the problem. The problem was that they had a part they assembled and sold, but the part simply took too long to assemble. After seeing the part be assembled and taking time measurements, we used the information and data we were given to develop a solution by using the skills we had just learned. After our time there, we had a solution and recorded all of our thought process on how we got it. We turned this into a report which has been attached to the bottom of this page.
